I am a Catholic re-vert. I was born into a family of split faith. My mother at the time of my birth was “baptized” as a Jehovah’s Witness. My father is a Catholic. Growing up I was indoctrinated by JW rhetoric. At the age of 7 I gave my first talk at the Kingdom Hall and was highly involved in proselytizing, going door to door and at my public school. There was not a day that I did not experience white martyrdom for my peculiar beliefs, but I believe these early experiences were setting me up for being an apologist later in life. I have come fully into the Catholic Church where I have voraciously been studying and reading about my new found faith for seven years now. In the public school system I have met much difficulty in expressing my faith freely and I have a strong calling to much more. I may not be a full-fledged and qualified apologist, but I would love to be a part of the Catholic Answers team in developing web applications to spread the Gospel in more innovative ways.
